Ferry Cove Shellfish & Oyster Hatchery is one of the largest commercial hatcheries on the East Coast, focusing on Eastern or American Oyster larvae and seed for sale. Using advanced hatchery production systems like RAS, algae bioreactors and biosecurity, Ferry Cove Shellfish & Oyster Hatchery provides high quality, low cost larvae and seed to the industry. We are situated on 70 acres along Maryland's Eastern Shore, minutes from historic St. Michaels in Talbot County, with 2,000 feet of shoreline, a native forest, two intertidal ponds, wetlands and fields for crop production. With highly energy efficient and sustainability-focused systems, we aim to facilitate the growth and long-term viability of the commercial shellfish industry.
